Bottom Preparation & Painting Policy
For environmental, legal, and safety reasons, customers may no longer prepare or paint their own boat bottoms. This ensures we meet state and federal rules (including DEM/EPA), protects local waters from hazardous waste, and lowers cleanup and disposal risks.
All bottom preparation and painting must be done by Standish Boat Yard staff. Preparation is billed by the hour; materials are charged separately. We always use containment (vacuum recovery, tarps) to protect the environment.
See pricing above. Unless otherwise noted, services are billed as time and materials.
